MLB expert predictions: Can Giants make World Series run? originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

The 2022 MLB season is underway, which means it’s time for another round of season predictions.

The Atlanta Braves are the reigning World Series champs, but the Los Angeles Dodgers are the consensus World Series favorites.

Meanwhile, the Giants lost Buster Posey and Kris Bryant, but revamped the rotation to one of MLB’s best. Can they repeat as surprising NL West champions after a 107-win year? And could Logan Webb take home some hardware after breakout 2021 campaign?

On the other side of the Bay, the Athletics are rebuilding once again, having traded Matt Olson, Matt Chapman, Chris Bassitt and Sean Manaea this offseason. Can new manager Mark Kotsay do enough to keep the A’s in contention? Or will the A’s become midseason sellers and trade away more assets during the season?
