Who’s Playing

Brooklyn @ Philadelphia

Current Records: Brooklyn 0-1; Philadelphia 1-0

What to Know

The Philadelphia 76ers may be playing at home Friday, but the experts are forecasting a three-point loss. The 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets will face off in an Atlantic Division battle at 7:30 p.m. ET at Wells Fargo Center. The Sixers should still be riding high after a big victory, while Brooklyn will be looking to regain their footing.

It was all tied up 53-53 at the half for Philadelphia and the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, but Philadelphia stepped up in the second half for a cozy 117-97 win. Philadelphia can attribute much of their success to Furkan Korkmaz, who had 22 points and five assists, and Tobias Harris, who posted a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, things couldn’t have gone much worse for Brooklyn as they lost 127-104 to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. A silver lining for the Nets was the play of Kevin Durant, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 boards.

The Sixers didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with Brooklyn when the two teams previously met in April, but they still walked away with a 123-117 win. Will the 76ers repeat their success, or does Brooklyn have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
