What you need to know about the Pacers

Indiana strolled past the Utah Jazz with points to spare on Thursday, taking the contest 111-100. Indiana’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of point guard Malcolm Brogdon, who had 30 points in addition to nine boards, and point guard T.J. McConnell, who had 21 points and five assists along with eight rebounds.

Brogdon leads the team with 23.6 points per game. Domantas Sabonis is averaging 18.3 points and 11.2 rebounds. Third-leading scorer Caris LeVert (17.2 ppg) is questionable with a back injury.

What you need to know about the 76ers

Meanwhile, the Sixers were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Thursday as they fell 115-109 to the Toronto Raptors. Point guard Tyrese Maxey put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 33 points and five assists.

The Sixers have been hit hard by injuries and other personnel issues. In addition to Ben Simmons‘ indefinite absence from the team, the 76ers will be without Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle and Isaiah Joe due to COVID-19 protocols on Saturday. Tobias Harris, however, did return to the lineup last game and put together a solid 19-point performance with seven rebounds and seven assists.
