Through 3 Quarters

Down five at the end of last quarter, the Toronto Raptors have now snagged the lead. It’s anybody’s game after three quarters, but Toronto is ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers 83-78. The Raptors have been led by point guard Fred VanVleet, who so far has 26 points and six assists in addition to five rebounds.

Toronto and Philadelphia both experienced trouble in their last games, but one is bound to make up for it today. Toronto will have to keep the pressure on with a quarter to play.

Who’s Playing

Toronto @ Philadelphia

Current Records: Toronto 6-6; Philadelphia 8-4

What to Know

The Toronto Raptors might have tired legs after a matchup yesterday as they head on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 11 at Wells Fargo Center. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

The contest between the Raptors and the Boston Celtics on Wednesday was not a total blowout, but with Toronto falling 104-88 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Power forward Scottie Barnes (21 points) was the top scorer for Toronto.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia came up short against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, falling 118-109. Shooting guard Furkan Korkmaz wasn’t much of a difference maker for Philadelphia; Korkmaz finished with only five points on 2-for-18 shooting in his 44 minutes on the court.

Toronto is expected to lose this next one by 3.5. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the team has let down bettors in their past three games.

The losses put the Raptors at 6-6 and the 76ers at 8-4. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Toronto comes into the game boasting the most steals per game in the league at 10.75. But Philadelphia ranks second in the league when it comes to steals given up per game, with only 6.8 on average. Ball control might end up being a major factor in this one.
