MLB Pipeline released their annual Top 100 prospects Thursday and Anthony Volpe tops the list of three Yankees prospects who made the list.
Jasson Dominguez and Oswald Peraza are the other Yankees named.
Volpe is ranked as the No. 5 overall prospect in all of baseball. Last year, Volpe was also ranked at No. 5 and between Double-A and Triple-A, slashed .249/.342/.460.
Dominguez was ranked No. 39 prior to last season and between Single-A, High A and Double-A, the outfielder slashed .273/.375/.461.
Peraza comes in at No. 52 this season, down from being ranked No. 50 on the Bombers’ prospects last year. While he spent most of last season in the minors, he quickly became a fixture on the team when he was called up in September.
In 18 games with the Yankees, Peraza slashed .306/.404/.429 with one home run and two RBI. He’ll likely come off this list soon as it’s likely he makes the team out of spring training. Once he reached 45 games in the majors, Peraza will be dropped from the list.
