Holt shares heartfelt IG post after return to Fenway originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

When Brock Holt returned to Fenway Park last year, he tipped his cap to the cardboard cutouts in the empty crowd.

On Saturday, the former Boston Red Sox utilityman got his overdue ovation.

Tomase: It might be time for Sox to show some literal fight

Holt, now with the Texas Rangers, received a video tribute and a standing O from the Fenway Faithful. He shared his appreciation after the game with a message on his Instagram story.

“Home sweet home!!” Holt posted, along with the clip of his ovation.

A special moment for the 2018 World Series champion, who will always be considered a fan favorite in Boston.

Holt went 1-for-4 in his return to Fenway Park. Through 67 games played this season, Holt is hitting .204 with two home runs and 17 RBI while primarily playing third base for Texas.
