Through 1 Quarter

The experts predicted a victory for the Washington Wizards, but it’s no sure thing at this point. After one quarter neither squad has the game in the bag, but Washington leads 24-22 over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Wizards have been led by center Montrezl Harrell, who so far has six points and two assists along with three rebounds. Cleveland hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to five points or fewer.

This is the least points Cleveland has had yet this season going into the second quarter.

Who’s Playing

Washington @ Cleveland

Current Records: Washington 7-3; Cleveland 7-4

What to Know

After a three-game homestand, the Washington Wizards will be on the road. After a few days’ rest for both teams, they and the Cleveland Cavaliers will meet up at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 10 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

Washington was able to grind out a solid victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, winning 101-94. It was another big night for the Wizards’ shooting guard Bradley Beal, who had 30 points and eight assists in addition to five boards.

Meanwhile, Cleveland strolled past the New York Knicks with points to spare on Sunday, taking the contest 126-109. Cleveland’s point guard Ricky Rubio looked sharp as he shot 8-for-9 from downtown and finished with a double-double on 37 points and ten dimes.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Washington is expected to win a tight contest Wednesday. Those interested in the spread don’t face an easy decision since they are 7-3 ATS and Cleveland 8-3.

The Wizards didn’t have too much trouble with the Cavaliers at home when the two teams previously met in May as they won 120-105. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington since the squad won’t have home-court advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
