Through 3 Quarters

Both the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls have kept the scorekeepers busy with 194 between them three quarters in. It’s looking more and more like Boston’s high-powered offense is just too much for Chicago as the Celtics lead 103-91.

Boston has been led by small forward Jaylen Brown, who so far has shot 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and has recorded 28 points and seven boards. Small forward DeMar DeRozan has led the way so far for Chicago, as he has 27 points along with six rebounds.

This is the most points Boston has had yet this year going into the fourth quarter.

What to Know

This Monday, the Boston Celtics are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 118.33 points per matchup. They will take on the Chicago Bulls at 7:30 p.m. ET Monday at TD Garden. Chicago will be strutting in after a victory while the Celtics will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Boston fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Washington Wizards this past Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 115-112. The losing side was boosted by small forward Jaylen Brown, who had 34 points along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Bulls picked up a 107-99 win over the Utah Jazz this past Saturday. It was another big night for Chicago’s small forward DeMar DeRozan, who had 32 points in addition to six boards.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Boston is expected to win a tight contest. Currently 2-4 against the spread, they haven’t been a good investment; on the other hand, Chicago is 5-1 ATS.

The Celtics are now 2-4 while Chicago sits at 5-1. The Bulls are 3-1 after wins this year, and Boston is 1-2 after losses.
