The Washington Wizards will take on the Boston Celtics at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday in Capital One Arena. Washington is 4-1 overall and 2-0 at home, while Boston is 2-3 overall and 2-1 on the road. Both teams got bounced in the first round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs, but they’re off on very different feet in the 2021-22 NBA season, and the Wizards are coming off a 116-107 victory over the Celtics on Wednesday.

The Celtics won the two head-to-head matchups before the loss to the Wizards on Wednesday, but Washington has covered in two of the last three against Boston. Washington is favored by two points in the latest Wizards vs. Celtics odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the over-under is set at 223.5. What you need to know about the Wizards

The Wizards enjoyed a 122-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks in their last outing. Washington can attribute much of its success to center Montrezl Harrell, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards in addition to five dimes.

Harrell has carried a heavy load with Thomas Bryant (ACL) and Daniel Gafford (quad) out. He’ll have to have another big game in the frontcourt with those players out Saturday. Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie provide some scoring punch from the wings and that trio will need a big night at both ends matched up with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

What you need to know about the Celtics

Boston is out to make up for these teams’ contest on Wednesday. The Celtics took a 116-107 hit to the loss column at the hands of Washington. Brown had a tough game, finishing with 13 points on 5-for-16 shooting in his 37 minutes on the court.

However, Brown has generally had an excellent season, averaging 24.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Tatum had 23 points in the loss on 9-of-22 shooting. The Celtics will be needing a lot more from that All-Star tandem if they’re going to get back on track on Saturday.
