Raise your hand if you had the Los Angeles Dodgers’ first run of the NLDS being driven in by starting pitcher Julio Urías. Well, that happened, as the bottom of the lineup roared to life and overpowered the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night to even up this heavyweight fight.

Stymied by the dominant Logan Webb in Game 1, the Dodgers found a groove in Game 2, racking up 6 RBIs from the bottom third of the order to take a 9-2 win.

Urías, who opened the scoring with that RBI single in the second inning, hurled five innings of one-run ball to get the win. Cody Bellinger, who went 2-for-48 against the Giants in a miserable regular season, laced a 2-RBI double into the gap in the sixth inning that gave Los Angeles some breathing room.

The Dodgers’ superstar additions of the recent past contributed in other ways though. With the Giants threatening to come back in the sixth, Trea Turner shut down one scoring opportunity with a slick diving stop and flip.

And then Mookie Betts ended the inning with a shockingly casual 89 mph dart to cut down Wilmer Flores at third base.

The win sets up a crucial Game 3 on Monday at Dodger Stadium. Max Scherzer is expected to take the hill for L.A., with Alex Wood set to start for San Francisco.
