Through 3 Quarters

Only one more quarter stands between the Memphis Grizzlies and the win they were favored to collect going into this night. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Utah Jazz 88-78.

The Grizz has been riding high on the performance of point guard Ja Morant, who has 24 points and eight assists along with nine rebounds. Utah has been led by small forward Danuel House Jr., who so far has 16 points.

the Jazz have lost 93% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this season, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Utah @ Memphis

Current Records: Utah 30-19; Memphis 33-17

What to Know

The Utah Jazz will square off against the Memphis Grizzlies at 8 p.m. ET on Friday at FedExForum. Memphis will be strutting in after a win while the Jazz will be stumbling in from a loss.

Utah came up short against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, falling 105-97. Small forward Bojan Bogdanovic had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 33 minutes but putting up just seven points on 3-for-13 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies beat the San Antonio Spurs 118-110 on Wednesday. Point guard Ja Morant had a stellar game for Memphis as he had 41 points and eight assists in addition to five rebounds. The matchup made it Morant’s fourth in a row with at least 33 points.

Utah is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Houston Rockets Jan. 19 easily too and instead slipped up with a 116-111. In other words, don’t count Memphis out just yet.
