Who’s Playing

Philadelphia @ Chicago

Current Records: Philadelphia 7-2; Chicago 6-2

What to Know

The Philadelphia 76ers’ road trip will continue as they head to United Center at 8 p.m. ET Saturday to face off against the Chicago Bulls. Philadelphia will be strutting in after a win while Chicago will be stumbling in from a defeat.

The Sixers strolled past the Detroit Pistons with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 109-98. Among those leading the charge for the 76ers was point guard Tyrese Maxey, who had 20 points and five assists.

Chicago is out to make up for these teams’ matchup on Wednesday. They were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap as they fell 103-98 to Philadelphia. A silver lining for Chicago was the play of small forward DeMar DeRozan, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. Deebo’s night made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 32 points.

The Sixers are expected to lose this next one by 3.5. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.

The 76ers are now 7-2 while the Bulls sit at 6-2. Two stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Sixers come into the contest boasting the second most blocked shots per game in the league at 6.11. Chicago is not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they rank fourth in the league when it comes to blocked shots per game, with six on average. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
