Through 3 Quarters

The Boston Celtics can’t call it a day yet, but they are winning as expected. a victory is still up for grabs for either team after three quarters, but they are up 89-83 over the Chicago BullsBoston has been relying on small forward Jayson Tatum, who has posted a double-double on 21 points and ten boards along with four dimes, and point guard Dennis Schroder, who has 13 points and five assists in addition to four rebounds.

The Celtics and Chicago both experienced trouble in their last games, but one is bound to make up for it today. Boston just need to hang on one more quarter to get back on their feet.

What to Know

The Chicago Bulls have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. They and the Boston Celtics will face off at 8:30 p.m. ET Jan. 15 at TD Garden without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

The Bulls took a serious blow against the Golden State Warriors this past Friday, falling 138-96. Chicago was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 78-47. Chicago’s loss came about despite a quality game from center Nikola Vucevic, who posted a double-double on 19 points and 14 boards along with five dimes.

Meanwhile, the contest between Boston and the Philadelphia 76ers this past Friday was not a total blowout, but with the Celtics falling 111-99 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Shooting guard Jaylen Brown (21 points) and small forward Jayson Tatum (20 points) were the top scorers for Boston.

Chicago is expected to lose this next one by 7.5. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past two games, so buyers beware.

Chicago had enough points to win and then some against Boston in the teams’ previous meeting last November, taking their game 128-114. Will the Bulls repeat their success, or do the Celtics have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
