Who’s Playing

Dallas @ Los Angeles

Current Records: Dallas 9-6; Los Angeles 9-7

What to Know

The Dallas Mavericks are staying on the road Sunday to face off against the Los Angeles Clippers at 3:30 p.m. ET Nov. 21 at Staples Center. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

Dallas came up short against the Phoenix Suns this past Friday, falling 112-104. Power forward Kristaps Porzingis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, the contest between Los Angeles and the New Orleans Pelicans this past Friday was not particularly close, with the Clippers falling 94-81. Los Angeles was up 29-16 at the end of the first quarter but couldn’t hold on to the lead. Shooting guard Luke Kennard wasn’t much of a difference maker for Los Angeles; Kennard finished with only six points on 2-for-12 shooting in his 30 minutes on the court.

Dallas is expected to lose this next one by 3.5. They are currently four-for-four against the spread in their most recent games, however, a trend bettors might want to take into account.

The Mavericks ended up a good deal behind the Clippers when they played when the two teams previously met in June, losing 126-111. The defeat knocked Dallas out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at Los Angeles with a vengeful fire.
