Who’s Playing

Sacramento @ Dallas

Current Records: Sacramento 3-2; Dallas 3-2

What to Know

The Dallas Mavericks haven’t won a matchup against the Sacramento Kings since Aug. 4 of last year, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Sunday. Dallas will be playing at home against Sacramento at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Kings should still be feeling good after a victory, while Dallas will be looking to get back in the win column.

There’s no need to mince words: Dallas lost to the Denver Nuggets this past Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 106-75. Dallas was down 87-56 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. The top scorer for the Mavericks was point guard Luka Doncic (16 points).

Meanwhile, Sacramento narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the New Orleans Pelicans 113-109. Having forecasted a close victory for the Kings, the oddsmakers were right on the money. They relied on the efforts of power forward Richaun Holmes, who had 21 points in addition to six boards, and small forward Harrison Barnes, who posted a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Dallas’ loss took them down to 3-2 while Sacramento’s win pulled them up to 3-2. We’ll see if the Mavericks can steal Sacramento’s luck or if Sacramento records another win instead.
