Through 3 Quarters

Down three at the end of last quarter, the Washington Wizards have now snagged the lead. After three quarters it’s looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Milwaukee Bucks as the Wizards lead 82-71.

Washington has been riding high on the performance of shooting guard Bradley Beal, who has 22 points and eight assists in addition to four boards. Milwaukee has been led by shooting guard Grayson Allen, who so far has 16 points.

Milwaukee has lost 100% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Milwaukee @ Washington

Current Records: Milwaukee 4-5; Washington 6-3

What to Know

The Washington Wizards haven’t won a contest against the Milwaukee Bucks since Jan. 11 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Sunday. Washington’s homestand continues as they prepare to take on Milwaukee at 6 p.m. ET Nov. 7 at Capital One Arena. If the matchup is anything like the Bucks’ 135-134 win from their previous meeting in May, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.

The Memphis Grizzlies typically have all the answers at home, but this past Friday the Wizards proved too difficult a challenge. Washington made easy work of Memphis and carried off a 115-87 victory. The oddsmakers were on Washington’s side, but they didn’t give the team enough credit as the margin was unexpectedly wide. The top scorers for Washington were power forward Montrezl Harrell (18 points) and shooting guard Bradley Beal (17 points).

Meanwhile, the Bucks lost to the New York Knicks at home by a decisive 113-98 margin. Milwaukee was up 38-19 at the end of the first quarter but couldn’t hold on to the lead. Milwaukee’s defeat came about despite a quality game from shooting guard Grayson Allen, who shot 6-for-9 from downtown and finished with 22 points and five rebounds.

Washington’s win lifted them to 6-3 while Milwaukee’s loss dropped them down to 4-5. We’ll see if Washington can repeat their recent success or if Milwaukee bounces back and reverse their fortune.
