SNY MLB Insider Andy Martino reacts to the news that the Mets have officially extended qualifying offers to both outfielder Michael Conforto and pitcher Noah Syndergaard. Martino feels that Syndergaard will gladly accept the offer, given his recovery from injury and while it’s possible Conforto could also accept the $18.4 million offer and try to re-establish his value, he may opt to go elsewhere on the open market.
