Mets prospect Brett Baty holding ball, smiling while playing for Brooklyn Cyclones

Mets prospect Brett Baty will be participating in the Arizona Fall League following the conclusion of the minor league season, per Mike Puma of The New York Post.

Baty, who was recently ranked as the No. 52 prospect on Baseball America’s updated Top 100 list, has been great this season for High-A Brooklyn and Double-A Binghamton.

In 327 at-bats over 89 games for Brooklyn and Binghamton, Baty has hit .291/.378/.471 with 12 homers and 21 doubles.

While Baty has played primarily third base this season, he has also gotten some time in left field, which has been his first taste of the outfield as a professional.

Baty, who will turn 22 years old on Nov. 13, could open next season back with Binghamton or be pushed to Triple-A Syracuse. Either way, there’s a possibility he could make his big league debut at some point in 2022.

Along with Francisco Alvarez, Ronny Mauricio, Mark Vientos, J.T. Ginn, and others, Baty — whom SNY contributor Joe DeMayo has ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the organization — has been a huge bright spot for the Mets in the minors this season.
