With the NBA trade deadline approaching, rumors surrounding players in potential blockbuster deals are heating up. Chatter in Boston has revolved around Jaylen Brown’s future potential with the Celtics and whether or not there is a long-term fit for he and Jayson Tatum. Both players have been on hot streaks in recent games, but is either a top choice for NBA DFS lineups in a tasty matchup with Detroit on Friday?

Each star is coming off of muted performances in a win against Charlotte on Wednesday, where Brown finished with 15 points and Tatum had 19. However, over Brown’s last five games, he’s averaging 26.2 points and 6.8 rebounds, while Tatum is averaging 30.7 points, 7.7 boards and 6.3 assists over his last six starts. Boston has yet to play Detroit this season, but will either player — or both — emerge as top options in Friday’s NBA DFS player pool? Before making your NBA DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Thursday, McClure included Raptors F/C Pascal Siakam as one of his top NBA DFS picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Siakam scored a team-high 25 points to go with 13 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block to return 58.25 points on DraftKings and 57.1 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Friday, February 4, NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, February 4

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Friday is Pacers swingman Caris LeVert, who is listed at $8,400 on DraftKings and $7,600 on FanDuel. LeVert has been at the center of trade speculation for weeks, and in six starts prior to missing five games at the start of January (health and safety protocols), he averaged 25.5 points, 6.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals. He has a great opportunity to get back to that level on Friday against a Bulls team coming off of an overtime loss at Toronto on Thursday.

LeVert is also coming off of his best offensive performance since January 19, and has been impressive overall in his last two starts. Against Orlando on Wednesday, he scored 26 points to go with five rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block. The last time he faced Chicago on December 26, he scored 27 points along with nine assists, four rebounds, a steal and a block.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Cavaliers forward Cedi Osman ($5,400 on DraftKings and $4,300 on FanDuel). Osman has started in Cleveland’s last two games and should continue to see an expanded role on the floor with Lauri Markkanen (ankle) listed as out for Friday. In those last two starts, Osman has scored 20 total points, and against the Pelicans on Monday, he dished out 12 assists.

Cleveland visits Charlotte tonight, which has been a friendly Fantasy matchup for replacement-level players all season. The last time Cleveland played the Hornets was back in November, but Osman played a significant role in the win. He logged just under 21 minutes off the bench and scored 13 points with a pair of assists in the 113-110 victory.

How to set your NBA DFS lineups for Friday, February 4

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Friday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.

So who is DFS pro Mike McClure putting in his optimal NBA DFS lineups for Friday? Visit SportsLine now to see optimal NBA DFS picks, rankings, advice, and stacks, all from a professional DFS player who has almost $2 million in career winnings, and find out.
