The Lakers will be without LeBron James for at least a week as a he recovers from an abdominal strain. That means that Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook will be tasked with getting the team back on track after a disheartening loss to the Thunder earlier this week. Davis and Westbrook both stand to see more of the ball with James out, and could be popular options for NBA DFS lineups in Portland against the Trail Blazers on Saturday night. On the other side, Damian Lillard is shooting just 33.7 percent from the floor this year, so is now the time for NBA daily Fantasy owners to bet on him to go on a shooting tear?

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid will lead the shorthanded 76ers in a rematch against the Bulls after defeating them 103-98 earlier in the week but Philly will be without Matisse Thybulle (health and safety protocols). That’s really good news for DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine given Thybulle’s prowess guarding wing scorers and they could be savvy plays in a loaded NBA DFS player pool. Before finalizing your NBA DFS picks for Saturday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Friday, McClure listed Spurs forward Thaddeus Young as one of his top picks on both sites. The result: Young filled up the stat sheets with 12 points, five assists, four rebounds, three blocks and two steals to return nearly 8x on FanDuel and over 6x on DraftKings. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Saturday, November 6 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Saturday, November 6

Leading McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Saturday is Celtics forward Al Horford ($7,600 on both DraftKings and FanDuel). The five-time NBA all-star rejoined the Celtics after a season in Philadelphia and a season in Oklahoma City and at 35 years old, he’s proving that he can still be an effective interior scorer and rebounder and he’s adapted his game by becoming a capable 3-point shooter during the second half of his NBA career.

Horford has five double-doubles in seven games so far this season and he’s also been a huge asset at the rim this season. Horford is leading the NBA in blocks per game (3.0) and has had multiple blocks in five of seven games as well. Even if Kristaps Porzingis (back) returns to the lineup on Saturday, expect the Celtics to go inside and try to use Horford.

Another key in McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes adding Suns guard Chris Paul ($8,100 on FanDuel and $8,400 on DraftKings). The 11-time NBA All-Star is still going strong at age 36 and is leading the NBA in assists (12.0) through the first month of the 2021-22 NBA season.

Paul isn’t relied upon as much as a scorer at this stage of his career but he’s replaced being able to go by people regularly with a sensational mid-range game, a solid 3-point shot and crafty finishing around the rim. He can still, however, go off for 25-plus on any given night. He’s also been a dominant defender of late and is coming off a game where he had five steals and two blocks earlier this week.

How to set NBA DFS lineups for Saturday, November 6

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Saturday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
