Devin Booker has already established himself as one of the NBA’s best scorers with the three-time All-Star coming off a year where he averaged a career-high 27.8 points per game with a career-best 49.4% from the floor. However, Booker has taken his game to another level during the 2023 NBA playoffs, entering Monday’s Game 2 against Denver averaging a league-leading 35.5 PPG this postseason. Booker had a pair of 50-point games in the regular season and also has two 45-point games this postseason, so he’ll undoubtedly be a popular option for NBA DFS lineups.
But he’s far from the only superstar option in Monday’s NBA DFS player pool, with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray all expected to suit up. So, which of those players have the best matchups tonight, and who are some of the more affordable role players that can help you balance your NBA daily Fantasy lineups? Before making your NBA DFS picks for Monday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

On Sunday, McClure highlighted Warriors guard Stephen Curry as one of his top NBA DFS picks. The result: Curry set a new NBA record for points scored in a Game 7 (50) and also had eight rebounds, six assists and a steal to return 74 points on DraftKings and 70.6 on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Top NBA DFS picks for Monday, May 1
One part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering 76ers center Paul Reed ($5,300 on DraftKings and $6,000 FanDuel). Joel Embiid is officially listed as doubtful for Game 1 against the Celtics with a knee injury, and that means that Reed is likely to slide into the starting lineup at center.
Reed started in Game 4 against the Nets and had a big hand in Philadelphia completing the sweep, finishing with 10 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot. And in a start to end the regular season against the Nets, Reed managed 17 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks, two steals and an assist. The DePaul product should be in store for 25 minutes or more on Monday and that makes him an exceptional value given his recent production when called upon as a starter.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes stacking Reed with guard James Harden at $8,800 on DraftKings and $9,000 on FanDuel. The 10-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA scoring champion has evolved his game later in his career, working as a secondary scorer and primary distributor after spending years as the focal point offensively in Houston.
Harden should be a positive regression candidate in this series after he shot just 34.3% from the floor in a first-round win over the Nets. He’ll also have to carry a significant load offensively with Embiid (knee) listed as doubtful for Game 1 against the Celtics. During the regular season, Harden averaged 21.0 points, 10.7 assists (to lead the NBA) and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 38.5% from the 3-point line.
