Who’s Playing

Denver @ Brooklyn

Current Records: Denver 25-21; Brooklyn 29-18

What to Know

The Denver Nuggets haven’t won a contest against the Brooklyn Nets since Nov. 14 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Wednesday. They will face off at 8 p.m. ET Jan. 26 at Barclays Center without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Denver will be strutting in after a win while Brooklyn will be stumbling in from a loss.

The Nuggets didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 110-105 victory. The team ran away with 69 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the victory. Denver’s center Nikola Jokic did his thing and almost posted a triple-double on 28 points, 21 rebounds, and nine dimes.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn came up short against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, falling 106-96. A silver lining for Brooklyn was the play of point guard James Harden, who dropped a triple-double on 33 points, 12 boards, and 11 assists. The Beard now has nine triple-doubles this year.

Brooklyn’s defeat took them down to 29-18 while Denver’s victory pulled them up to 25-21. We’ll see if the Nets can steal the Nuggets’ luck or if Denver records another victory instead.
