Who’s Playing

Philadelphia @ Indiana

Current Records: Philadelphia 8-5; Indiana 5-8

What to Know

The Indiana Pacers will be returning home after a four-game road trip. They will square off against the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Pacers should still be feeling good after a win, while Philadelphia will be looking to regain their footing.

While not quite a landslide, the game between Indiana and the Utah Jazz on Thursday was still a pretty decisive one as Indiana wrapped it up with a 111-100 victory on the road. Indiana’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of point guard Malcolm Brogdon, who had 30 points along with nine boards, and point guard T.J. McConnell, who had 21 points and five assists in addition to eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Sixers were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Thursday as they fell 115-109 to the Toronto Raptors. The losing side was boosted by point guard Tyrese Maxey, who had 33 points and five assists.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Indiana is expected to win a tight contest. But bettors beware: they are only 2-4 against the spread when favored.

The Pacers’ win brought them up to 5-8 while the 76ers’ defeat pulled them down to a reciprocal 8-5. A pair of stats to keep an eye on: Indiana enters the contest with 6.31 blocked shots per game on average, good for second best in the league. The Sixers are not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they rank fourth in the league when it comes to blocked shots per game, with 6.23 on average. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
