Pedro has NSFW umpire take during Giants vs. D-backs game originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

We’ve all been there. Don’t lie, you’ve cursed at an umpire before, whether they deserved it or not.

Pedro Martinez is in the same boat.

The Hall of Fame pitcher who is an analyst on MLB Network was adamant that Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver wasn’t coming set against the Giants on Tuesday night, and should have been called for a balk.

“That’s a mini windup right there,” Martinez said.

Pedro was then told that Weaver has never been called for a balk in his six-year big league career.

“Well, the umpires don’t know s–t about what they’re doing,” he said.

As Harold Reynolds laughed uncontrollably, all Martinez could do was smile unapologetically at the camera.

Weaver was not called for a balk against the Giants. He pitched four innings and allowed one earned run but walked four batters in San Francisco’s 6-4 win over Arizona.
