Who’s Playing

Boston @ Oklahoma City

Current Records: Boston 44-28; Oklahoma City 20-51

What to Know

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be returning home after a three-game road trip. They and the Boston Celtics will face off at 8 p.m. ET March 21 at Paycom Center without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Boston should still be feeling good after a big win, while the Thunder will be looking to regain their footing.

Oklahoma City was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Sunday as they fell 90-85 to the Orlando Magic. Power forward Aleksej Pokusevski just could not get things rolling his way, finishing with only seven points on 3-for-20 shooting and turning the ball over five times in his 31 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, everything went the Celtics’ way against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday as they made off with a 124-104 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 68-43. Boston’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of small forward Jayson Tatum, who shot 6-for-10 from beyond the arc and finished with 30 points, seven assists and six rebounds, and shooting guard Jaylen Brown, who had 30 points along with six boards.

Oklahoma City have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 13.50 point spread they are up against. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a three-game streak of ATS wins.

Oklahoma City is now 20-51 while the Celtics sit at 44-28. A couple stats to keep an eye on: The Thunder have only been able to knock down 42.40% percent of their shots, which is the lowest field goal percentage in the league. Boston’s defense has more to brag about, as they they have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 43%, which places them first in the league. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
