What you need to know about the Thunder

Oklahoma City was expected to be one of the worst teams in the Western Conference this season, but it has turned things around following a poor start. The Thunder are on a three-game winning streak, beating the Lakers, Spurs and Pelicans in the past week. Lu Dort poured in 27 points to go along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 24 points in the win over New Orleans.

The Thunder held a 21-point lead early in the fourth quarter before having to hang on at the end. They are the youngest team in the NBA, but that has not stopped them from gaining confidence of late. Oklahoma City has covered the spread in six of its last seven games.

What you need to know about the Kings

Sacramento had success against Oklahoma City last season, winning each of the three meetings. The Kings lost the first two games of their current three-game skid by a combined eight points, which came following a pair of wins over the Pelicans and Hornets. They are led by veteran forward Harrison Barnes, who is averaging 21.4 points per game.

Barnes and point guard De’Aaron Fox have made a nice duo, as Fox is averaging 20.2 points and 6.2 assists. The Kings have covered the spread in 12 of their last 15 road games, including five of their last six at Oklahoma City. They are going to be motivated to bounce back from their disappointing losing streak.

How to make Kings vs. Thunder picks

The model is leaning under on the total, and it also says one side of the spread has all the value. You can only see the pick at SportsLine.
