Who’s Playing

Indiana @ Portland

Current Records: Indiana 3-6; Portland 3-5

What to Know

The Portland Trail Blazers will be returning home after a three-game road trip. They will take on the Indiana Pacers at 10 p.m. ET Friday at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter. Bragging rights belong to the Trail Blazers for now since they’re up 9-3 across their past 12 matchups.

Portland was close but no cigar on Wednesday as they fell 107-104 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Shooting guard Norman Powell put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 23 points.

Meanwhile, Indiana didn’t have too much trouble with the New York Knicks at home on Wednesday as they won 111-98. Indiana can attribute much of their success to power forward Myles Turner, who shot 7-for-10 from beyond the arc and finished with a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards along with three blocks. Turner has also now had at least three blocks in his past three games.

Portland is the favorite in this one, with an expected 3.5-point margin of victory. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the squad has let down bettors in their past three games.

Indiana’s victory lifted them to 3-6 while Portland’s loss dropped them down to 3-5. We’ll see if Indiana can repeat their recent success or if the Trail Blazers bounce back and reverse their fortune.
