Through 3 Quarters

Only one more quarter stands between the Brooklyn Nets and the win they were favored to collect going into this night. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Detroit Pistons 78-62.

Brooklyn has been relying on power forward Kevin Durant, who has 21 points and five assists along with nine boards, and power forward Blake Griffin, who has 13 points in addition to four rebounds.

Detroit hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to 13 points or fewer.

they have lost 100% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Brooklyn @ Detroit

Current Records: Brooklyn 5-3; Detroit 1-7

What to Know

The Detroit Pistons haven’t won a game against the Brooklyn Nets since February 9th, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Friday. Detroit is getting right back to it as they host Brooklyn at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 5 at Little Caesars Arena. The Nets should still be feeling good after a win, while Detroit will be looking to regain their footing.

Detroit received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 109-98 to the Philadelphia 76ers. A silver lining for Detroit was the play of small forward Jerami Grant, who had 27 points in addition to six boards.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn was able to grind out a solid victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, winning 117-108. Brooklyn’s power forward Kevin Durant did his thing and had 32 points and five assists along with seven rebounds.

Detroit is expected to lose this next one by 9.5. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn’t have high expectations for them since the squad is 1-6 ATS when expected to lose.

Detroit is now 1-7 while Brooklyn sits at 5-3. A pair of stats to keep an eye on: The Pistons have only been able to knock down 39.50% percent of their shots, which is the lowest field goal percentage in the league. The Nets’ defense has more to brag about, as they they have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 42.20%, which places them fourth in the league. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
