After the Denver Nuggets easily defeated the Miami Heat in Game 3, the Nuggets’ title odds have moved drastically.

Per FOX Sports Research, the Nuggets opened the series as the second-heaviest betting favorites (-500) heading into the NBA Finals in the past 16 seasons, behind only the Golden State Warriors against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017-18 NBA Finals (-1075 to win the series).

After easily winning Game 1, Denver’s title odds got all the way to -1000. Miami’s odds shifted after the Heat won Game 2. But now that Denver is up 2-1, championship odds are once again on the move.

Let’s dive into the current title odds:

Current 2022-23 NBA title odds*
Denver Nuggets -1000 (bet $10 to win $11 total)
Miami Heat +650 (bet $10 to win $75 total)

* Odds as of 6/9/2023

The Nuggets’ title futures have moved a ton, going from -1000 to -250 now back to -1000 after their Game 3 win. That is a significant move in the title odds market. On the flip side, the Heat went from +550 to +200 and back to +650 after Game 3.

Before the 2022-23 season began, the Heat were +1600 and the Nuggets +2000 in odds to win the NBA Finals.
