Abby Chin on being a Boston Celtics reporter, the Marcus Smart trade and more
NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin wasn’t expecting the Boston Celtics to trade away veteran point guard Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies any more than the rest of us were when word of the deal bringing Washington Wizards big man Kristaps Porzingis to Boston broke. The Flower Mound native’s trade was personally devastating for Chin and many fans of the team.
In a recent podcast put together by the folks at the CLNS Media “First to the Floor” podcast tipping a hat to the Celtics media such as Chin, the NBC Sports Boston reporter acknowledged she will miss his interviews and his positive impact on and off the court.
In the talk, Chin recalls the changes she has witnessed in the Celtics roster over the years and acknowledges Marcus Smart as a constant presence.
