After taking a 2-1 series lead over the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs, the Los Angeles Lakers looked to put a stranglehold on the series in Game 4.

They took a double-digit lead in the second quarter, but it quickly evaporated, and after they fell behind in the third quarter, the final period became a dogfight.

Fortunately, Austin Reaves perked up, hitting a 3-pointer with 11:05 left to put the Lakers ahead, and with 43 seconds left, he scored on a layup to help force overtime where they prevailed, 117-111.

For the contest, he finished with 23 points, six assists and four rebounds, leading the team in scoring and finishing a close second in assists to LeBron James.

By this point of the series, the Lakers and their fans were confident that a trip to the Western Conference semifinals was upcoming, and Reaves was a big reason for that.
