At this point, Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons knows what he’s doing and he understands the consequences of his actions. The 25-year old clearly wants out and he is willing to do whatever it takes to do so.

Simmons made good on his promise to not show up to training camp as the Sixers are now three days into camp and he is not there. He has made a lot of different statements off the floor and things boiled over when he said his partnership with Joel Embiid ran its course. A statement to which Embiid had a strong response.

Now, as the Sixers continue to move forward, the team can begin to punish Simmons for not reporting to the team. There was a post on Instagram listing all of the fines that the Sixers can hit him with and Simmons, who is clearly paying attention, liked the post.

Considering that Simmons is due roughly $31.5 million for the 2021-22 season, it does not appear that he is worried about any of these fines. He just wants out of Philadelphia and the franchise needs to figure out how to grant his wish while also getting fair value in return for one of the game’s bright talents.
