Bradley Beal says quarantine no different than last season originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Despite all the COVID-19 changes for the 2021-22 season, Bradley Beal said there wasn’t much of a difference in his quarantine on the road in Toronto.

Beal, who is unvaccinated, is subject to testing and is forced to stay at the team hotel by himself when not at the arena.

The Raptors played their home games in Tampa during the 2020-21 season but returned home for the ’21-22 season. They received special approval to play their games at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto for this year before the land border is opened between the two countries for fully vaccinated travelers.

“It didn’t (change anything) because I don’t do nothing anyway,” Beal said after the Wizards’ season-opening win Wednesday. “I sit in my room on the road anyway. It was fine. It was just like last year, so I’m just not allowed to leave my room. Had to quarantine, wear my mask, don’t share an elevator with people. Don’t let anybody in my room. It’s the same thing we had last year and in the bubble, so it’s cool.”According to a report from Shams Charania, unvaccinated NBA players who breach quarantine in Toronto would face criminal charges.
