Clark Kellogg’s March Madness 2023 Predictions & Picks

Kellogg played at Ohio State before he took his talents to the NBA. Since then he’s been a longtime analyst for CBS Sports and is always covering March Madness. Earlier in the year he had his list down to three choices with Gonzaga, Alabama, and Kansas.

Gonzaga to win the National Championship (+1600)

In a recent sitdown with David Cobb, Kellogg discussed why he’s picked Gonzaga as his choice to win the National Championship this year. He said he likes the fact that they are not a #1 seed this year and that it benefits them. Kellogg also likes the tournament experience that players on their roster. Experienced veterans like Drew Timmie. They are a #3 seed in the West Region and will face #14 Grand Canyon in their first-round matchup.

Alabama to win the National Championship (+550)

The Alabama Crimson Tide earned a #1 seed for the first time in program history last Sunday during the March Madness selection show. After a play-in game between two #16 seeds last night, Texas A&M CC earned the right to play Bama in the first-round and they will have their hands full.

The Islanders will have to lock down freshman sensation Brandon Miller who’s been Alabama’s best player this season. They still have a number of other elite college athletes and players who will likely go pro like Miller will do. A win vs Texas A&M CC gives them the winner of #9 Maryland vs #8 West Virginia.

Kansas to win the National Championship (+1000)

After winning the National Championship last season, the Kansas Jayhawks are a #1 seed for the second straight season. They went 27-7 this season and lost in their conference tournament championship game. Their first-round matchup is against the winners of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, #16 Howard.
