OMARI SANKOFA II: Why Pistons are an unlikely trade destination for Sixers star Ben Simmons

THURSDAY’S GAME: Pistons doomed by 2nd half in 109-98 loss to 76ers

Game notes: Cade Cunningham picked up his first career double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in the Pistons’ home loss to the Sixers. He shot just 4-for-17 from the field, though hitting nine of his 10 free throw attempts helped a bit. Will he play tonight? He sat out the second game of the Pistons’ previous back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday, but seems likely to suit up tonight against the Nets, an Eastern Conference favorite that dusted the Pistons on Sunday in the game Cunningham sat out.
