Game notes: The Pistons defeated the Jazz in Utah one month ago, 125-116, led by Bojan Bogdanovic’s 23 points and Kevin Knox’s season-high 21 points and six 3-pointers. … The Jazz have been one of the NBA’s most surprising teams, expected to be in the tank race — where the Pistons are at the bottom — after trading away their best players in Bogdanovic, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Lauri Markkanen leads them in scoring and rebounding, and the Jazz are top 5 in the NBA in 3-pointers made per game. … The Pistons, who lost a big lead to Brooklyn on Sunday, have the rest advantage here, after the Jazz played in Cleveland on Monday night.
