Game notes: It’s the final game of the four-game trip, and the Pistons are now without Kelly Olynyk, who entered the league’s health and safety protocols Saturday along with the still out-with-injury Jerami Grant. … This is the opener of a home-and-home between the Pistons and Nuggets, who play again Tuesday night in Detroit. Denver has been without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr., but is treading water above .500 and in sixth place — above the play-in tournament — in the suddenly mediocre Western Conference. The Pistons will have their hands full with Denver’s Nikola Jokic, who is averaging 25.9 points on 57.2% shooting, with 13.9 rebounds and 7.5 assists as he tries to win a second consecutive MVP award. … The Pistons are trending up and 6-6 in the new year. This is the final game of their Western road trip, which has them 1-2.
