Evan Fournier calls out NBA 2K22 for ludicrous depiction originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The latest edition of NBA 2K always is good at raising eyebrows, from basketball players dissatisfied with ratings to fans troubled by how the video game creators view their favorite team.

NBA 2K22 is no different than the versions that came before it, with at least one NBA player fed up with the game’s blatant lack of attention to detail when it comes to his appearance in the game.

“Every [expletive] year bro … I am sick of this [expletive],” New York Knicks guard Evan Fournier said on his Twitter account Wednesday after seeing the video game avatar version of himself.

Fournier, who signed with the Knicks this offseason after being traded from the Orlando Magic to the Boston Celtics at the 2021 NBA trade deadline, has been subject to inaccurate representations in past versions of the NBA 2K video game franchise.

In 2021, he finished with 13 points per game for the Celtics across 16 contests. In Orlando, he averaged 19.7 across 26 games.
