The Heat defeated the Hornets in overtime, 117-112. Jimmy Butler had recorded 35 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists for the Heat, while Bam Adebayo added 18 points and 14 rebounds in the victory. Kelly Oubre Jr. had tallied 29 points and seven rebounds for the Hornets in the losing effort. The Heat improve to 5-7 on the season, while the Hornets fall to 3-10.
