KD posts amusing reply to Klay’s latest shooting video originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Klay Thompson has begun to ramp up his rehab from a torn Achillies that caused him to miss all of last season.

The Warriors star posted a video to his Instagram story of him draining 10 consecutive threes in the gym on Tuesday, and former teammate and current Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant poked a little fun at Klay’s first shot.

It appears that Thompson’s foot might have been on the line for the first shot, and Durant made sure to call it out.

The former teammates won back-to-back championships together in both 2017 and 2018, and have both suffered torn Achilles — Durant during the 2019 Finals with Golden State, and Thompson last November.

Durant missed the entire 2019-2020 season due to the injury, but rebounded with a spectacular performance with the Nets during the 2020-21 campaign.

Thompson will look to return to form this season following a two-year absence and should look no further than to his friend and former teammate for guidance.
