Per the report, the belief is that the Knicks are “batting those calls away.”
SNY’s Ian Begley reports that, per sources, the Knicks hold both Quickley and Obi Toppin in high regard.
Quickley has been a strong contributor this season and could figure prominently in the Knicks’ long-term plans, but they are still seeking a point guard who can fully take the reins.
As far as other possible movement before the deadline goes, Begley reported on Thursday that one team in touch with a member of the Knicks organization recently is under the impression that Julius Randle would be available for the right return.
When it comes to Kemba Walker, who was benched earlier this season and has been held back due to knee issues after returning to the rotation, there is a chance the Knicks will look to move him before the deadline.
As the deadline nears, the Knicks are on the outside of the playoff picture looking in, a half game back of the Washington Wizards for the 10th and final spot in the play-in tournament.
