Nerlens Noel drives to basket

Knicks center Nerlens Noel didn’t practice Sunday and is listed as questionable ahead of the team’s next game.

Noel, who suffered a knee sprain during the Knicks’ win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 8, is in jeopardy of missing his third-straight game after missing the team’s first seven games of the new season.

In the four games that he’s played, Noel has averaged 4.8 points and 6.8 rebounds.

The Knicks have used the combination of Mitchell Robinson and Taj Gibson in Noel’s absence, but potentially adding Noel to the rotation could give the team more depth. Noel’s presence could also give the 36-year-old Gibson some minutes off.

Word on whether Noel could go on Monday against the Indiana Pacers will likely come before the game starts at 7:30 p.m.
