The Green Kornet — better known to those who are not fans of the Boston Celtics as reserve big man Luke Kornet — might look like a polished, valuable member of the Celtics’ frontcourt rotation, but it was not all that long ago that the former Vanderbilt player was fighting to stick at the NBA level.

Once he got to the league, the challenge was to stay there. Now, Kornet focuses on how he can improve his game and add to his team’s success (developing entirely novel ways to defend certainly doesn’t hurt), relishing his camaraderie as part of the Boston bench mob that dubbed themselves the “Bus 1 Boys”.

Kornet recently made a guest appearance on the team-produced “View From the Rafters” podcast to talk about all of this and more.
