Point Guard
Trae Young – Atlanta Hawks (vs. New York Knicks)
Trae Young matches up very well against these New York Knicks. We all saw this in last year’s playoffs. Young’s range, speed, and vision are too much for this Knicks squad (especially considering their injuries for tonight). Not to mention, players who were instrumental in maintaining Young during last year’s playoff series are either no longer with the Knicks or are unavailable tonight, Derrick Rose especially. Kemba Walker also hits the bench tonight, leaving Immanuel Quickley to run the point tonight. Recent starts haven’t gone great for the Knicks youngster. Even so, Quickley could be a very popular play tonight. Young is the perfect pivot off of Quickley’s high roster percentages. Yes, Quickley creates value at a salary of just $4,300 on DK. With that said, he’s in a tough matchup. just because he’s starting doesn’t mean he’s going to serve as New York’s primary ball-handler. Pairing Young with New York’s backup PG Alec Burks makes for a great GPP startegy. The Knicks are +7 point underdogs with a 215.5 O/U on Pointsbet.com.
Other PG Option: Mike Conley
Shooting Guard
Alec Burks – New York Knicks (vs. Atlanta Hawks)
With Kemba Walker out for tonight, I’m taking a firm stance on how I see this game playing out. Most might go to Quickley for the DFS value but for pivoting purposes, give me the combinations of Young, Huerter, Burks, and Randle (who you’ll read about below). The best way to fade chalk is to play their matchup. If Young outplays Quickley, Burks will be off the bench quicker than you can say, “GPP value play of the night”. Burks has averaged 20.3 DK FPPG so far this season. His most recent ceiling game was a 43.75 DK FP effort over just 25 minutes of play against the Houston Rockets back on November 20th. Remember, Rose is out. This creates massive opportunity/potential for Burks to see extended usage tonight. Love this play!
Other SG Option: Devin Booker
Small Forward
Kevin Huerter – Atlanta Hawks (vs. New York Knicks)
Huerter has a solid usage bump if Bogdanovic sits. He also has a solid matchup against New York’s R.J. Barrett. The Knicks have allowed their opponents to shoot 35.3 % from beyond the arc. This is tied for 8th highest in the NBA. Huerter is a three-point sniper with solid potential in the right matchup. I wouldn’t expect the highest of roster percentages even on just a seven-game slate. Huerter has averaged 18.7 DK FPPG so far this season. Recently those numbers have risen having scored at least 27.0 DK FP in three of his last five games. At a DK salary of just $4,500, I see pure daily fantasy value here, especially if Bogdanovic sits.

Power Forward
Julius Randle – New York Knicks (vs. Atlanta Hawks)
Randle has had low roster percentages as of late. This is due to his lack of production. Randle’s recent game logs have been questionable (L5: 26.5, 49.5, 50.5, 43.5, 26.5) and his salary remains high. Sitting at $10,300 on Draftkings, Randle should be looking at very low roster percentages again tonight. The fact is, despite his recent game logs, he has a solid matchup against John Collins and a less than 100% Atlanta Hawks roster. Bogdanovic and Reddish are questionable tonight and De’Andre Hunter remains out.
Other PF Option: Jae’Sean Tate
Center
Andre Drummond – Philadelphia 76ers (vs. Minnesota Timberwolves)
Early Game
Pay attention to Karl Anthony-Towns’ availability for tonight. He’s currently questionable. If he cannot play, Vanderbilt is the logical go-to. But for pivoting purposes let’s take a look at Andre Drummond. The Timberwolves already lead the league allowing 12.8 offensive rebounds per game. Drummond leads the 76ers with 201 offensive rebounds. Make sure to check the confirmed lineups for both teams before constructing your DFS lineups. Tobias Harris has 91 offensive rebounds ranking him second on the 76ers. Philadelphia is favored by – 6.5 points with a 215 O/U. Joel Embiid is still questionable (CO-VID 19). Whichever center starts stands to benefit the most.
Other C Option: Clint Capela
