The NBA Officiating Last Two Minute Report for Tuesday’s game between the Knicks and Timberwolves acknowledged three missed foul calls on Minnesota late in New York’s 112-110 loss.

Among others, Karl-Anthony Towns should have been assessed an offensive foul when Julius Randle guarded him with 32.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter. The NBA noted that “Towns (MIN) reaches out and grabs Randle’s (NYK) arm and affects his ability to defend.”

Towns made a driving layup that put the Timberwolves up 110-109 with 29.3 seconds left. On the play, Randle received a shooting foul and Towns sank the free throw, building Minnesota’s edge to 111-109.

Before Towns’ layup, the NBA added, “Randle (NYK) makes contact with Towns’ (MIN) arm that affects his driving shot attempt.” While correct, the play would have been over if he got called for the offensive foul.

With 22.2 seconds to go, D’Angelo Russell should have been assessed a loose-ball foul while pushing off RJ Barrett‘s steal attempt, the NBA said: “After the deflection, Russell (MIN) extends his forearm into Barrett (NYK) and dislodges him from his position during the loose ball.”

Kemba Walker committed a personal foul with 19.2 seconds left and Patrick Beverley made 1 of 2 free throws as the Knicks trailed 112-110.

Earlier, at the 1:46 mark, the NBA commented that Towns should have been assessed a reach-in foul on Evan Fournier‘s turnover: “Towns (MIN) makes contact to the arm of Fournier (NYK) on the perimeter.”

The Knicks (22-23) look to bounce back from Minnesota (22-22) and avoid a skid of three losses in a row when Thursday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans (16-28) tips off at 7:30 p.m.
