The Nets are trading DeAndre Jordan, four future second-round picks and cash to the Detroit Pistons for F/C Jahlil Okafor and F Sekou Doumbouya, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday.

Brooklyn will send their own 2022 and 2027 second-rounders, along with a 2024 second-round pick from the Washington Wizards and a 2025 second-round pick from the Golden State Warriors.

The Nets will save $47 million in salary and tax in the deal.

The Pistons plan to work on a buyout with Jordan on the remaining two years and $20 million left on his deal, per Wojnarowski

Jordan spent the last two seasons in Brooklyn averaging 7.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.

He was envisioned to be the Nets’ main big man down low after trading away Jarrett Allen, but the former All-Star played only 57 of 72 games last season and fell out of the playoff rotation.

This will be Okafor’s second stint in Brooklyn after playing with the Nets back in the 2017-2018 season.

The former No. 3 overall pick averaged 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game over 27 appearances for the Pistons last season.

Doumbouya is entering his third season in the league and has career averages of 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds over 17.3 minutes of play per game.

Nets to waive Alize Johnson

After reporting the Jordan trade, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski also reported that the Nets plan to waive F Alize Johnson.

Johnson played 18 games for the Nets last season, averaging 5.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest.
