It seems everybody has an opinion on what’s going on with Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons at the moment. While Simmons is in holdout as he waits for his trade request to be fulfilled, everybody is taking shots at the three-time All-Star.

First, it was a newscaster in the offseason, and now it’s the weatherman.

The Sixers are three days into training camp, and Simmons has made good on his promise to not report. NBC10’s Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz asks “what is wrong with that guy?” referring to Simmons.

Schwartz:

Unlike Ben Simmons, we had to show up today and we’re glad to work for our employer … The Philadelphia fans really treated him great. We gave him every break, every encouragement, there wasn’t booing. Wait till you come to Philly with another team. Then you’ll get to see a Philly welcome.

Simmons is clearly public enemy No. 1 in Philadelphia at the moment. As he waits for a trade, the Sixers will continue with camp. They are off on Friday, but they will get back to work on Saturday and Sunday to prepare for their first preseason game on Monday against the Toronto Raptors.
