WATCH: Would the Boston Celtics offer both Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown supermax deals if they qualified?
The Boston Celtics have found plenty of analysts ready to suggest they ought to split up the All-Star duo of wings on their roster in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, but if they make the wise call and keep the two top-25 talents together, they could have a problem of an enviable sort.
That question was recently posed by the hosts of the popular ESPN NBA podcast “The Hoop Collective,” which saw senior writers and NBA insiders Brian Windhorst, Tim MacMahon, and Tim Bontemps break down their thoughts on what the Celtics might do if in a position where they could offer both Tatum and Brown a supermax contract.
While admitting that the odds were in fact a bit long on such a prospect given the benchmarks the pair would need to hit for both to actually become eligible simultaneously, it certainly is not out of the question either.
