Carli Lloyd will play one final match in the Philly area early next month.

NJ/NY Gotham FC, Lloyd’s NWSL team, will play on Oct. 6 at Subaru Park in Chester.

The 39-year-old Lloyd, a native of Delran, New Jersey, announced her upcoming retirement in August. She’s set to play in two friendlies this fall against Paraguay and two against Korea Republic. 

Lloyd has had an illustrious career, scoring 128 international goals, earning 312 caps and shining on many big occasions.

Gotham’s final regular-season contest is a home game on Oct. 31 vs. Racing Louisville FC. The team sits seventh in the NWSL table.
