In days gone by, you began your soccer education in complete anonymity, kicking a cheap plastic ball around the streets or in the park with your friends. Nowadays, your formative years in the beautiful game are likely to be documented. And in the case of 4-year-old Mason O’Reilly from County Wexford, Ireland, they can even make you a social media star.

Together with his dad, Danny, “Mace the Ace,” as the youngster is known, has become a big hit on Instagram and Tik Tok. He currently has almost 60,000 followers combined, and his videos have more than 1.5 million views.

Check out some of Mason’s sensational training routines that regularly wow his audience.

Mason and his dad started their backyard practice sessions during lockdown when the pandemic put Danny out of work. With his dad as coach, Mason soon began to show some talent. And as his skills have developed, the routines have become increasingly elaborate.

At present, Mason is just having fun, as any budding soccer player should. But he already has eyes on the future, with dreams of one day playing for Arsenal in the English Premier League.
